Tradition says that the people of Kastoria dressed up in costumes to ward off evil spirits and bring luck and prosperity for the New Year. The groups, known as &#8220;bouloukia&#8221;, roam the streets of the city, playing music with wind and percussion instruments, dancing and singing traditional songs.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-41b34701 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"41b34701\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The culmination of the Ragoutsaires takes place on the last day, January 8, with a big parade in the main streets of Kastoria. Participants and visitors dance and have fun with music, feasts and dances that last until late at night, filling the city with liveliness and joy.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-997584f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"997584f\"
